Bringing together seemingly disparate elements, finding narrative balance where chaos and movement meet stillness and calm, creating harmony in the final composition. Engaging the viewer’s curiosity and desire to experience these intersecting layers of human form and expression, discovering a place of beauty and ultimately, relief.
Jayne Biehn (b.1964) is an Oakland-based creator of mixed media works, integrating printed paper, acrylic, oil sticks, thread, and graphite. Jayne managed her own graphic design business for 10 years developing logos and identity systems for a broad range of clients including Oracle, Mastercard, Kikkoman and X-box. Previously, Jayne’s works have been featured in Communication Arts Magazine.
She studied Fine Art at the University of CA Irvine, graduated with a BA in Graphic Design at the Art Institute of Southern CA and studied Abstract Painting at California College of Arts in San Francisco.
